Pooch Play Care is an innovative, force free dog day care facility located in Broadview. The team at Pooch Play Care are dedicated to spending quality time with each of our pooches to get to know their various characters and personality traits that make them unique. Our goal is to enable our guests to have the opportunity to not only increase their social skills but also enrich their spirit and stimulate their mind. Our vision at Pooch Play Care is to create a fun, interactive environment for dogs of all ages, shapes and sizes, whilst maintaining a high level of safety and increased learning potential.
Position:
Day Care Attendant to join our dedicated and caring team. You will be responsible for:
- Coordination of supervised play sessions and a wide variety of activities throughout the day
- Providing close supervision of all the dogs entrusted into our care
- Managing large groups of dogs of various sizes and breeds, following the force-free philosophy
- Booking guests in and out at reception
- Interacting with clients
- Assisting in providing a safe, hygienic environment for our pooches and other staff
Who should you be?
- Someone who understands, agrees with and is able to follow force free handling
- A happy, positive person with a love of dogs
- A passion for continued learning and development through our in house guidance & training
- Not afraid to get dirty
- Confident in separating dogs safely, without hesitation, should the need arise
- Able to follow and carry out directions given
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Be available during PPC’s opening times
- Bachelor of Animal Science, Certificate in Companion Animal Services or equivalent experience will be looked upon favourably
